First a little about the name of this blog. I go by Flea in some parts of the internet, and I've occasionally used the term 'flea bites' to refer to my small outbursts of creativity. The title actually works on a couple other levels. It could be an amusing bit of self deprecation (Man, that Flea really bites...) or as an edgy warning (Watch out. Flea bites.) It could mean any or all of the different interpretations, and the meaning might change on any given day. What better title could there be?
And now for a bit about what we're doing here:
There's this challenge I came across on Gaia. 365 prompts intended to inspire writing for every day of the year. The writing can be anything from drabbles to character sketches to poetry, but I've decided to focus on poetry for my challenge. I'd already been doing something similar to this, using prompts from art challenges to inspire poems, but I figured I might as well try this one. The hope is that in a year, I'll have 365 poems finished, and out of that, maybe there will be enough of decent quality to combine into a little book. =D
